images in e-mail

I am unable to view jpeg images that have been sent to me via e-mail. This just started about a month ago. Any ideas?

In Tools>Options>Read: Is Read messages in plain text checked?

Do you read your e-mail offline. Some e-mail programs link to images
inserted in them through the web, so they will not appear when you are
offline. If that's the case then you can also ask the senders to change the
setting on their end so images are embedded and not linked.
