Just use a fictitious email address. In the main window of Outlook Express
click the Tools menu, click Accounts, click the News tab, select the news
account, click the Properties button, on the email address line use an alias
address like XXXX@XXXXX.COM , click the APPLY and OK buttons, and then
click the close button on the remaining box. The alternative is to get a
free hotmail account and use that address. But it will be harvested for
SPAM. Since it's free, you could just delete the spam periodically. At
least your main ISP mailbox won't be full of SPAM. Another alternative is
to do what I've done, add brackets with NoSpam in-between, so if the address
is auto-harvested, it won't be a valid email address, and you won't receive
the SPAM. With the last option, Outlook Express might flash a message that
you haven't written a valid email address, take the option to use it anyway.
These changes will just effect the return email address for your news group
posts. They will not In any way effect the settings for your Outlook
Express email messages.
