In the last few weeks my pc has been crawling. Does
anyone have any idea what I should look for to solve this
problem?

Thanks.

It may be drunk and unable to walk?

You probably have picked up a Trojan or possibly a virus.

Suggest a scan with an up to date virus scanner of all files
(not just the defaults). Also get spyware/adware removal
tools SpyBot Search & Destroy from www.safer-networking.org
and Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com They are free.

Then clear temp files and defrag.

You need a good anti-virus program (such as Norton AV)
and Spybot Search & Destroy from www.security.kolla.de
Be sure it's the right Spybot. Website will say "home of
Spypot Search & Destroy." It's free. After downloading
read and understand the tutorial that comes with it.
Very important! Are you clearing your temporary Web
files, such as Web Cookies, Web Files & Web History? In
case you haven't been, right click on IE Icon/properties,
and on the Internet Properties window, click "delete
history," "delete files" & "clear history" button. This
will simply delete the temporary stuff the web puts on
when you visit, but keeping it does slow down your
computer a bit. Good luck.

SpyBot is now directly available at www.safer-networking.org
Mr. Kolla set this up to reduce traffic on his primary site.
If your go to security.kolla.de or just kolla.de you will be
redirected when you click the downloads link.
