To Microsoft Support

by homer_fong » Thu, 01 Apr 2004 22:13:49 GMT

I posted a genuine plea for help last night, and the only responses I
received were harsh comments from your staff members. That is very
rude and unprofessional. In addition to the crass comments on this
board, my inbox was filled with mail this morning, some of which
contained threats of physical violence and a desire to have anal
intercourse with my mother.

Why are you doing this to me? All I want is some help! And I DEMAND
that you give it to me! I am your customer dammit!! What kind of a
mickey mouse operation do you have going here??

I will never buy another Microsoft product from WalMart again!

Homer Fong cogitated deeply and scribbled thusly:

This is a PEER-TO-PEER help group, and is NOT an official MS Suppoprt site.

In addition to the crass comments on this

And you'll get even MORE, by posting your real email address on here.

These are peer support groups - folks just like yourself, helping one
another. Microsoft employees seldom participate. Your support options
from the company are described here...

Your post contained no plea for help, only a demand for
satisfaction. If you have a problem, post the details,
otherwise go sit with the other trolls and shut up.

Dear Homer.
You are not posting questions to Microsoft Technical or
Customer Support. There is no staff and nobody is being
paid to post answers to your questions.

This is a newsgroup that is kindly hosted for the use of the
computer users world-wide.

We are all just here as helpful and do not appreciate your
attitude.

Obviously you posted using your real email address which is
harvested by bits running on the Internet by spammers. That
explains the blizzard of spam and viruses which will come to
you for several weeks. As far as your mother and the
personal stuff, most people have a little more class. If you
can trace these people, I would report them to the police
for threats and to their ISPs for abuse.

Please state your computer problem simply and politely, you
will get some useful answers, but allow at least 24 hours
for replies. Also, you should alter your email address
because all newsgroups are targeted by bots that harvest
address for sale. Do not expect anyone to email you an
answer, you must come back to the newsgroup to get your
answers. You will find using a newsreader such as is
included in Outlook Express to read news.

Googling on his addy is most revealing. He appears to be most active in
alt.flame.niggers, which says much for his mentality. He also flames someone
for posting much the same as he has done! And he's obviously not getting any
because he also posts in alt.triangle, which is basically an online hooker
service!

I've not come across any posts of his regarding XP, save one on 06/02 asking
if defrag could be run as a background task.

If it looks like a troll, whines like a troll...

TBH, Jim, I don't think those emails exist. Personally, I think he's
invented them for added effect. Either that, or it doesn't know what 'spam'
is either. What's ironic is that he also claims to be a C++, SQL and Oracle
programmer! PMSL!!

You seem to have been more interested and found a lot of
useful information. Maybe is wife is Marge, his son Bart???

Maybe it is an unhealthy interest, but I wanted to find what post he was
referring to, so I Googled. It was just odd that his first - and only -
XP-related post was nearly two months ago and he's whining now!

There ought to be a law! Against whiners.

No, he really did post last night but it was not a plea for help, it was
a demand for satisfaction.

it looks like he posted through bellsouth, so unless he's in an area that is
not on DST

or, since he posted at 11:30pm EDT, eh thought he was close enough...
