start up music not heard

by TWFyayBI » Fri, 02 Apr 2004 05:31:08 GMT

Recently upon turning on the computer I am no longer hearing any start up music from windows. This also occurs at shutdown.... but all froms of sound play fine during operations of the system. music files etc.. all play

Checked setings and the start up sounds are checked to be played when windows turns on or shuts down
Tried
Make sure that on the Explorer page 'Beep on errors' is checked - tha
is involved in starting the Startup soun
with Tweek UI and still do not hear the start up music

Using Asus board A7n8x with nvidea on board sound since I thought it might have been conflicting with Audigity sound card which I have disabled

The music used to play at start up but don't know why it sundenly stoped playing. I have all the recent updates

Useing XP home. amd 2400 system
